Broome is a town located in the the North West of Western Australia, 2,223kms from Perth.

The seaside town sits between the shores of Roebuck Bay and Cable Beach, and has a rich history connection dating back to Bugarrigarra, the time before time, thousands of years ago.

The Yawuru people are the native title holders of the lands around Broome and protect approximately 530,000 hectares of traditional Yawuru country, including the waterways, the ocean, the bush, the dunes and the native wildlife. Native title was given to the Yawuru people in 2006.

Getting to Broome

Broome is a remote town, approximately 2.5 hours flight from Perth or three days drive. Heading from Darwin will take approximately two days drive. During the dry season flights directly from Melbourne are offered and take approximately 4 hours.
